Julia had been performing for many years with one of the more recognizable tribute shows in Las Vegas “Fleetwood Nicks”, and Karen had played all around the Chicago club circuit and festivals in her Pretenders tribute “Pretending.” When the ladies remembered that Stevie Nicks and The Pretenders actually went on a very successful tour together, it was a no-brainer. Within each set, they would perform mini sets of Stevie Nicks hits and The Pretenders hits. Vinyl Vixens catalog was filled with a variety of classic rock-60's through today's modern rock, along with a few country rock songs and originals. For the next couple years, the duo would perform at various smaller venues around the Chicago suburbs. The two women started their duo "Vinyl Vixens" during 2020 when lock downs were closing larger venues. When Karen Hart and Julia Lawrence met, it wasn't right away that they realized that their past musical fortes would become a powerful combination for a unique show. The tour had all the highlights of their biggest hits, along with fan favorites and the highlight of each evening: Chrissie joining Stevie on “Stop Draggin' My Heart Around.” The audience let them know how loved they both were as they rocked the house like they were back in the 80's!
